What vaginoplasty can help with (and what it cannot)

Vaginoplasty can help when the main issue is tissue laxity and reduced tone, commonly after childbirth. Depending on your anatomy, it may involve tightening the vaginal canal, repairing the perineum (perineoplasty), or both.

Vaginoplasty is not a solution for every pelvic concern. If your main issue is prolapse symptoms, significant urinary leakage, or chronic pelvic pain, you may need a different medical evaluation and a different procedure plan. The correct approach depends on diagnosis, not only preference.

Perineoplasty (perineal repair)

If the main issue is at the vaginal opening or perineum (common after tearing or episiotomy), perineal repair can restore support and improve comfort.

Vaginoplasty combined with labiaplasty (when appropriate)

Some patients want both internal or perineal tightening and external reshaping. Combining procedures can be efficient when it is safe and clinically appropriate.
