A breast lift (mastopexy) reshapes and repositions the breast tissue and nipple to correct sagging. It is designed for patients who feel their breasts sit lower than before, look elongated, or have nipples that point downward.
A lift does not add significant volume by itself. If your main goal is more fullness, especially in the upper breast, you may need a lift with implants. We confirm this after photo review and consultation, so you choose the right procedure the first time.
Breast lift (mastopexy): 2,700 €
Breast lift with implants (augmentation mastopexy): 3,600 €
Surgical procedure fee
Anesthesia and standard hospital fees
Hospital stay when required (often day surgery or 1 night)
Postoperative checks related to the procedure before you fly home
Flights
Hotel accommodation
Local transportation and transfers
Extra nights outside the medical plan
Additional procedures unless stated in your plan
Hotels and transfers are not included. If you want, we can arrange hotel options and private transfers based on your preferences and dates, quoted separately.
Anesthesia: General anesthesia
Length of surgery: About 2 to 3.5 hours (depends on technique and combinations)
Hospital stay: When required (often day surgery or 1 night)
Main goal: Lift and reshape, improve nipple position
Scars: Depend on technique, discussed in consultation
Recommended stay in Istanbul: About 7 nights
Return to office work: Around 7 to 14 days
Driving: Often after about 1 week (if comfortable and off strong pain medication)
Sports and heavy lifting: Gradual return after 4 to 6 weeks
Final result: Settling and scar maturation continue for 6 to 12 months
You may be a good candidate if:
Your breasts sit lower on the chest than before
Nipples point downward or sit at or below the breast fold
You have stretched skin after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, or aging
Your breasts look elongated or “empty” in the upper part
You are healthy and at a stable weight
You have realistic expectations about scarring and recovery
A lift may be postponed or not recommended if:
You are pregnant or breastfeeding
You have uncontrolled medical conditions
You smoke and are unwilling to stop before and after surgery
Your main concern is size, not sagging (augmentation may be the primary procedure)
The best technique depends on how much sagging you have, nipple position, and skin quality. The goal is to create a stable shape with scars placed where they can fade well over time.
Used for mild sagging and minor nipple repositioning. Scarring is limited to the areola border, but it is not suitable for significant sagging.
Often used for moderate sagging. It includes a scar around the areola and a vertical line down to the breast fold, allowing stronger reshaping than a periareolar lift.
Used for significant sagging or excess skin. It includes the areola scar, a vertical scar, and a scar along the breast fold. This approach gives the most control in heavier or more stretched breasts.
If you want higher position and more volume, a combined lift with implants may be recommended. This is decided based on your anatomy and goals, because it changes recovery, scarring, and long-term tissue support.
Consultation and measurements
Review of medical history, medications, and allergies
Discussion of scarring, expected shape, and size goals
Preoperative tests if needed
Instructions regarding smoking and medication adjustments
Admission and final checks
Meeting your surgeon and anesthesiologist again
Marking the lift pattern and nipple position
General anesthesia is administered
Excess skin is removed, tissue is reshaped, nipple and areola are repositioned
Incisions are closed with sutures and dressings are applied
You recover under monitoring, then go home the same day or stay overnight if required
Swelling, soreness, and tightness are expected
Bruising varies by patient
Gentle walking is recommended, avoid lifting and pushing
Support bra is worn as instructed
Avoid sleeping on your stomach
Keep incisions clean and dry as instructed
Most patients can do light daily tasks
Many patients return to office work within 7 to 14 days
Swelling continues to reduce
Avoid heavy lifting, chest workouts, and intense cardio
Gradual return to exercise after surgeon clearance
Shape continues to settle
Final breast position and shape refine gradually
Scars mature from pink to lighter tones and flatten over time
High fever, worsening redness, or pus-like drainage
Sudden severe swelling on one side
Increasing pain not relieved by medication
All surgery carries risks. Breast lift specific risks can include:
Bleeding or hematoma
Infection
Delayed wound healing, especially in smokers
Thick or widened scars
Changes in nipple sensation (temporary or, rarely, longer lasting)
Asymmetry or contour irregularities
Rare issues with nipple blood supply, particularly in complex cases
Need for revision surgery in some cases
Risk is reduced by correct technique choice, smoking cessation, and strict aftercare.

A lift mainly reshapes and repositions. Some tissue may be removed depending on your anatomy, but it is not primarily a reduction procedure.
Only if you want more volume or upper fullness. If your main issue is sagging, lift alone can be enough.
Scars are permanent but usually fade and are placed to be as discreet as possible. The technique is chosen partly based on what is needed and what scars are acceptable.
Usually after a few weeks, depending on comfort and surgeon guidance. Most patients start on their back first.
Most international patients plan about 7 nights so early checks are completed before flying.
